Russian edition of The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra
MOSCOW, Russia: Moscow State University Press has released the Russian edition of The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra, Volume II, part of a multi-volume work in which Daisaku Ikeda and members of the Soka Gakkai Study Department discuss each chapter of the Lotus Sutra, its history, insights and capacity to empower individuals and transform society. The volume examines chapters 3 through 10--"Simile and Parable" through "Teacher of the Law." This follows the publication of volume one last year in 2014, which commemorated the 40th anniversary of Mr. Ikeda's first visit to Russia (then the USSR) in September 1974.
To date, The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra has been translated into 12 languages including English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Hangul and Danish.
