Seoul, South Korea, Hosts "The Splendor of Earth" Photo Exhibition
"The Splendor of Earth" showing at the Ikeda Auditorium in Seoul, Korea, drew nearly 90,000 visitors
An exhibition of Daisaku Ikeda's photographs in Seoul, South Korea, drew nearly 90,000 visitors during a three-month showing from late November 2010 through February 20, 2011. "The Splendor of Earth" is a fresh collection of nature and scenic photographs taken by the SGI president during his travels in Japan and abroad. Guests attending the showing include Ko Kwang-heon, the president of The Hankyoreh, a South Korean daily, and Lee Young Hee, the director of the Association of Korean Traditional Performing Arts.
A university student visiting the exhibition commented, "It made me realize how diverse and beautiful everyday scenes of nature really are." Another visitor commented, "I feel as if I've just finished reading a profound book on philosophy. The photographs made me reflect on the path of life that I have taken and seemed to encourage me to live true to my convictions."
