Autonomous University of Santo Domingo Commemorates Release of Spanish Edition of Daily Encouragement for Women
Spanish edition of 365 daily quotes with special relevance for women from Daisaku Ikeda
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic: On September 15, 2010, Soka Gakkai International-Dominican Republic held a book launch for its release of a Spanish edition of Josei ni okuru kotoba 365 nichi (tentative title: Daily Encouragement for Women), 365 selected excerpts with special relevance for women from essays and other written works composed over the years by Daisaku Ikeda. The event took place at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo's Pedro Mir Library, which established a "Daisaku Ikeda Corner" featuring over 100 of the author's works, to commemorate this latest Spanish publication.
Library director Dr. Clara Benedicto presided over the launch and delivered a congratulatory speech. The Autonomous University of Santo Domingo presented Mr. Ikeda with an honorary professorship in 1987 and an honorary doctorate in 2008.
