Thai Ministry of Culture Honors Daisaku Ikeda for Enhancing Cultural Appreciation Among Youth

On January 23, 2008, the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Thailand honored Daisaku Ikeda for his dedication to fostering cultural appreciation among youth. Permanent Secretary for Culture Vira Rojpojchanarat entrusted the award to SGI General Director Yoshitaka Oba, expressing his admiration for the SGI's activities and Mr. Ikeda's leadership of the SGI. Also present were SGI Women's Leader Kayoko Asano and Vice Leader Kayoko Oyama, as well as Soka Gakkai Thailand (SGT) Executive Chair Somsak Likijariyanon and other national SGT leaders.
