Toward the Dawn of Human Rights—Rosa Parks and Daisaku Ikeda

Rosa Parks, considered “The Mother of Civil Rights,” galvanized the Montgomery Bus Boycott and inspired a generation of civil rights activists. Her interest in Daisaku Ikeda’s activities in the field of education led to their meeting in 1993 where they had a fruitful discussion on human rights and the need to fight against discrimination.
