Sarah Widerr (1976–) is Professor of English and Women’s Studies at Colgate University, Hamilton, New York, where she specializes in the American Renaissance, feminist autobiographical and biographical writings and Native American literature. Her current studies focus on the women artists and writers of American Transcendentalism. She is former president of the Ralph Waldo Emerson Society and author of The Critical Reception of Emerson: Unsettling All Things (Camden House, 2000).
