War and Peace: From a Century of War to a Century of Hope was organized by the Soka Gakkai, the Independent Bureau for Humanitarian Issues and the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and sponsored by the UN Department for Disarmament Affairs. The exhibition demonstrates how the nuclear weapons threat is interconnected with other global threats to human security such as poverty, pollution, desertification, deforestation and global warming. By the end of 1996, it had been viewed in 13 cities and 5 countries.
