The Human Revolution Series Begins

Originally serialized in the Soka Gakkai organ newspaper, the Seikyo Shimbun, and later published as a multi-volume set, The Human Revolution is a historical novel on the early postwar development of the Soka Gakkai under the leadership of its second president, Josei Toda, Ikeda's mentor. The essential motif of the work is that a change of heart in even one individual--a "human revolution"--can effect change in an entire society.
